When it comes to modulation, both of these are powerhouses. Now, let’s see what these areas are… Modulation That’s why there are certain areas in which Massive X excels compared to Serum. A lot can happen, especially if when we’re talking about technology. WHAT’S BETTER ABOUT MASSIVE X?įive years isn’t a short amount of time in music production. I do this, and it’s fantastic value for money, especially if you are on a tight budget. There’s a rent-to-own plan for just $9.99 per month (Through Splice) that isn’t your typical rental plan you will actually own the synth once the payment plan ends. ![]() Serum is priced pretty similarly, costing just $10 less at $189 (£137) if you purchase it outright. If you have the original version, Native Instruments will give you a $50 (£50) discount. Massive X will cost you $199 (£179) if you’re using it for the first time. That being said, the reality is: if you want to have quality-sounding tracks, you have to invest in them. Even those who live on their own still have bills to pay and need to scrape by on a small budget. Add a dedicated FM section to the mix you modulate and warp at the same time. Massive X may have fewer warp models, but it allows you to customize them more with various settings and controls. There’s also the difference in warp models. But when you start using them, you realize that they’re not the same after all.įor starters, massive X has the benefit of an FM selection and two additional modulation oscillators compared to Serum. On the surface, these two have similar warping abilities. But you should still know the differences nonetheless… Warping Will these differences be enough to suede you to one side? I can’t guarantee that. If these two weren’t all that different, I wouldn’t be writing this, but yes, there are some large differences between the Massive X and Serum. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MASSIVE X AND SERUM? 66GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon running in 64-bit mode.

The creators skilfully reveal the manner in which ordinary people are turned into cannon fodder in the battle for control.Īshin’s terrible actions match the cruelty with which her tribe is treated. Written by Kingdom’s creator Kim Eun-ee and directed by Seong-hun Kim, the spin-off episode once again fruitfully provides a ground-up critique of power structures, the cost of empire-building, and the consequences of discriminating against perceived outsiders. Soldiers are more dangerous than monsters, Ashin’s father says. His betrayal transforms Ashin from grieving daughter into bloodthirsty avenger. Her father has been loyal to his masters despite being treated as an outcast. Her younger self (played by Kim Shi Ah) dominates the opening portions, which trace a territorial conflict between the Joseon kingdom and two factions of a tribe, one of which wants to invade Joseon.Īshin belongs to the group that has been recruited by the Joseon military to keep an eye on trouble-makers. Jun Ji-hyun appears 50-odd minutes into the special episode. Kingdom: Ashin of the North has a mostly new set of characters and actors. The spin-off episode works both as a back story for how the dead were resurrected with the help of a mysterious plant as well as for the woman Ashin, played by Korean star Jun Ji-hyun. The show benefitted from excellent production values, sharply written characters, enthralling action set pieces, and countless fast-footed and perennially starved zombies.Īt the end of the last episode of the second season, the crown prince and his companions stumbled upon a border village where a lone woman controlled a bunch of zombies. The sharply political series used its hordes of revivified souls to examine the manner in which despotic rulers cause hunger and deprivation among the populace, leading them to become monsters. The king’s first-born son heads out into the countryside to look for answers, running smack into an escalating pandemic of the undead. The king of the land has become a zombie, and the reins of power have passed on to a powerful clan headed by a malevolent nobleman whose daughter is the king’s second wife. Over 20, the two seasons of Kingdom explored the connections between a grab for the throne in ancient Korea and a zombie outbreak. A special spin-off episode too concludes on an ambiguous note, leaving us wiser about the trigger for the events in Kingdom but also hungering for more. The terrific South Korean web series Kingdom on Netflix ended on a cliffhanger. Why the UK bill that gives its government the power to strip people of citizenship is so frightening. ![]()
![]() The next respondent claimed to like both Ken and Ryu, and when I asked why his reasons had more to do with their heritage (Ryu is Japanese and Ken is ¾ Japanese) and how handsome they both were than any of the other answers I expected.Īfter receiving various responses from other individuals, I turned to internet forums. One of the first respondents claimed that the ease of using Ken was his reason for liking him and when I asked whether his personality or backstory played any role in this preference, he answered with a resounding ‘No.’ Not to worry, I was certain the next person I talked to would give me the answers I needed, right? Wrong. I always believed that a combination of these three was the reason for his popularity and so I made a few calls to see if these assumptions were correct. What’s more, his ability to recover quickly with a Shoryuken (which is also a very effective counter against several moves) is also a major factor in my preference for him. Therefore, a lot of beginners are drawn to him. Ken possesses a set of moves that are very appealing to beginners with a mixture of melee and projectile attacks, making him one of the most accessible characters in Street Fighter. Move Setīoth Ryu and Ken are well versed in the art of Ansatsuken, but the latter has always been somewhat faster. ![]() Also, it was really encouraging to see this cool dude with sick fighting skills excel and succeed. This open nature, along with his all-American looks, was one of the reasons I was initially drawn to him, and my expectations were that this was the same for a lot of people too. ![]() This was in contrast to his more broody, moody sparring partner and friend, Ryu. Beyond that, though, Ken gave off the aura of an affable character who liked the fun side of life. He was modeled after the late great karate champion and martial artist, Joe Lewis, and the two shared similar appearances and career trajectories. I believed that his subtle evolution from a brash fighter to a considerate father and husband with a noble goal to defeat Bison was perhaps another reason he gained such popularity.Ī lot of Street Fighter characters borrowed concepts from real-life personalities, and Ken was no different. I was even more impressed after he got married to his girlfriend, Eliza, and he started to display more prominent signs of responsibility, especially in terms of his wife and son, Mel (Street Fighter III). But the major difference was that he had become a kinder, more measured character. When he turned 22 (a decade after he arrived in Japan), he and Ryu finished their studies, and he returned home where he competed in various tournaments, most of which he won. At this time, he was the typical spoiled brat, and his various antics got him into trouble several times. It was here he met his lifelong friend, Ryu, and studied the Shotokan fighting style while the two developed a famous rivalry. However, in a bid to train him in humility, his father shipped him off to Japan to study martial arts. Ken is the son of a hotel tycoon and grew up privileged. This is an aspect of fighting games that not so many people get into-the lore. The first thing that drew me to Ken from Street Fighter was his story arc. Once I thought it through, I came to three conclusions: His personality, move set, and story arc. But, there has to be more to it, right? Well, that was also my inclination, and this was why I sought to find out the secret behind Ken’s popularity. But why is this the case? One of the easiest answers is his constant presence since the game’s inception in 1987- an honor he shares with fellow student and rival, Ryu. Ken is a pretty popular figure in pop culture with several references to his character found in well-known comics, anime, manga, etc. I never really thought about the ‘why’ until much later, and here we are. In Lagos, Nigeria, game houses were filled with Street Fighter players, with many picking Ken as their main character. As for Feraligatr, its red spikes, normally just representative of a reptile's scaly skin, are presented here as fountains of energy of an unknown origin. In particular, Cyndiquil's ultimate form looks less like a cute and cuddly creature and more like the terrifying grizzly bear on fire that the design is obviously alluding to. The post shot up in popularity immediately, with over 15,000 people sharing it on their own feeds. In a tweet yesterday, Fiona Hsieh unleashed stylized interpretations of Typhlosion and Feraligatr that make the Stage 2 starter evolutions look like bosses from a never-made Okami sequel. Related: Pokémon: The Best Gen 1 Shiny Designs It's only in the realm of fan art and other unofficial media that the potential of these characters is truly explored, and it can make for some fascinating visuals to take in. Even spin-off games like Pokken Fighters tend to stick to the same monster designs fans know and love. The games have evolved in graphical quality over the years, but only in ways that get the monster designs closer to the original drawings, which also supply designs for anime, Hollywood movies, and everything in between. Part of the reason for that is Pokémon's status as a cross-media phenomenon. Manga artist Ken Sugimori famously defined the world of Kanto, Johto, and the rest in the games with his signature simplistic monster illustrations, and none of the games have strayed too far from that style. Of course, while Pokémon itself does originate from Japan, the game's art style has always been more in line with the anime style rather than anything from deep in Japanese history.

![]() Essentially you turn away from the corner before and then make a tight turn, and apply throttle around the apex. Learn to Scandiflick (honestly this works universally with every drive system overall but with FWDs it makes a notable difference and is often faster than handbrake, but it depends a bit) any tighter corner like hairpins, and situationally some 1s, 2s and such though that one falls possibly into stage knowledge. #Anti-Roll Bars: if car understeer try having rear arb value firmer than front arb (example: if stock arbs are front 8 and rear 6 then test rear arb at 8.9.10 etc until car feels better. #Spring Rates: put rear spring in the middle of slider position and put front spring so that it's about 10-20N/kg firmer than rear spring value, Springs-menu: Ride Heights front+rear lower all the way down (will improve balance so it won't roll so easily), ![]() Gears-menu: 0.346 / 0.487 / 0.678 / 0.920 / final drive 0.227 (top speed 160km/h or 99mph), some locations could use bit more top speed (170kph?) and some even less top speed (140-150kph?), try adjusting these on your own too and if u mess up go back to these and try again. Differential-menu: #driving lock 24-30% (use lower 24% if car understeers too much on throttle on 30% value), not sure about these two values but try #braking lock 15%, #preload 20.00Nm Brakes-menu: brake strength middle slider position, use brake bias 66% on all locations Here's some setup changes to that Fulvia which could improve it slightly to all locations. Much later on once u get better with a wheel u can always start using real rotations if u so want but for rotations over 540 u going to need sequential stick shifter or h-pattern shifter to make it work. Real rotation of that Fulvia is 900degrees but since u are a beginner with a wheel u will have much easier time using 540 or lower (specially if u shift using paddles). If u are using paddle shifters on the wheel for gears u will reach those much more easily even in corners etc. If u are beating ai even with slower pace then keep it, no need to win every stage or every event, just get top3 in season end point for promotion if u are doing career.Īlso set degrees of rotation lower to your wheel, try 470-540degrees or so unless u already have it set like that. Fulvia is a front-wheel drive car with lot of weight in the front so these make it understeer (maybe setup on it is understeering too), add crappy balance(high center of gravity), bad brakes, almost non-existant suspension and u need to be very cautious in corners and even on bumpier higher speed straights so it doesn't roll. Even if Fulvia slower than R2 car it doesn't mean it can take corners better.īut if u want to drive Fulvia (u have no other cars or no money for another car) then drive it slower and more carefully. Try a newer fwd car like R2 Ford (which is best in class) and see how that handles because Fulvia is an old and crappy car. Oh an Jame's suggestion of rear-biasing brakes great idea for under-steer prone vehicles. Note that without that light braking on approach, I find the cars often want to keep going straight-ahead, even with the handbrake pulled. Just before you enter the turn (with light braking pressure still applied), push the handbrake button, then turn-in to start aggressively rotating. This transfers the weight to the front, so that the front wheels can cause rotation. I find in Dirt Rally 2.0 (DR2) that I need to approach tight-hairpins with light brake pressure before engaging the handbrake. Much more than this, and you need to start assisting the wheel with additional counter steer when sliding. With that said, I run at 560 degrees of rotation to split the difference between precision and having the wheel able to keep-up with Force Feedback. This class of wheel (Mid-tier, Belt drivien) is a little slow on recentring and is not as responsive as say a Direct Drive wheel from Fanatec. which if I'm not mistaken is the PlayStation/PC (as opposed to Xbox/PC) version of the TMX. |
